 1. INTERNAL INVESTIGATION OFFICERS

Purpose of the Job
To conduct speedy, objective and cost-effecive investigations into allegations of corruption, fraud and other malpractices within Tanzania Revenue Authority and to make appropriate recommendations.

Major Activities of the Job
i.      Investigate cases authorized by the Commissioner General and submit written reports with appropriate recommendations within reasonable time.
  1. Plan investigation procedures and steps to be adopted, and draw out plans for approval.
  2. Performing risk measurement and analysis for drawing active investigation plans.
  3. To conduct the field work on the basis of the approved plan.
  4. Hold interviews and discussions with parties considered necessary.
  5. Review operating systems and procedures and make appropriate recommendations.
  6. Interrogate staff or any other person in order to collect evidence and review its sufficiency, relevance and reliability.
  7. To compile evidence and review its sufficiency, relevance and reliability.
  8. Conclude the investigations by issuing a draft report on investigation findings and recommendation of measures to be taken by Management for subsequent review by senior officer.
  9. Conduct corruption vulnerability assessment to identify areas susceptible to corruption and fraud.
  10. Attend disciplinary Committee sittings and court sessions when summoned.
  11. Perform any other duties as assigned the supervisor.

 Minimum Job Requirements.
     Qualifications.
i.   Advanced Diploma or University Degree in Law, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Science, Social Sciences or its equivalent from a recognised Institution/University.
ii.   Formal trainings on Investigation concepts,methods and techniques or intelligence gathering and processing of informers or interviewing and report writting skills or Basic knowledge of the rules of evidence and court procedures will be added advantage.
    
 Experience
 The applicant should have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work     experience

Purpose of the Job
To assist in maintaining the registry in an orderly manner for efficient performance of the related works in the Authority.

 Major Activities of the Job
 i.       Register incoming and out going mail.
 ii.       Control movement of files.
 iii.      File the letters and other documents.
 iv.      Bring up the files to the respective staff for action.
 v.      Retrieve the files from the staff for filing of incoming mail.
        vi.      Take stock of the files kept by staff.
         vii.          Open and close files.
         viii.         Assist in supervision of out sourced catering services.
         ix.           Accounts for the stamps used for postage of letters.
         x.            Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Purpose of the Job
To attend visitors and make sure that they are directed to the respective offices.

Major Activities of the Job
i.              Attend and register to all visitors by directing them to the respective offices.
ii.             Ensure that the reception area is clean and tidy all times.
iii.            Assist visitors and take messages where necessary.
iv.           Forward messages to appropriate offices.
v.            Report any bad events occurring in his/her place of work.
vi.           Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

     Minimum Job Requirements

      Qualification
              i.         Form VI.
         ii.        Certificate in Front Office Management or any relevant qualification
     from a recognised institution.
    iii.        Experience in customer care, front office management skills will be      an added advantage.
