Medical Doctor II- PMGSS 10 (1Post)

Reports to: Clinical Oncology Services Manager Duties:

Perform routine medical services for in-patients and out-patients.

Perform daily ward rounds, participate in major ward rounds and prepare patient case notes

Conduct all investigations for patients

Attend and participate in morning sessions, tumor boards, Medical boards, CMEs and journal Clubs;

Conduct research activities and outreach programs;

Perform any other duties as shall be assigned by his/her superior

Direct Entry Qualifications

Holder of Doctor of Medicine Degree or MBCHB or its equivalent from any recognised Institution who has completed internship and registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.

Assistant Nursing Officers II- PMGSS 6 (3 Posts )

Reports to: Nursing Manager

a) Duties

i) Taking general nursing care of patients

ii) Collecting essential medical data

iii) Educating patients on their health problems

iv) Giving health education t6 patients and their relatives

v) Conducting ward rounds

vi) Counseling patients

vii) Performing cervical and breast screening

viii) Participate in outreach program

ix) Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by his/her superior.

Qualifications

Holder of Diploma in Nursing from any recognized Institution. Must be registered by the Tanzania Nurses and Midwifery Council.

Medical Record Assistant 11- PMGSS 6 (2 Posts)

Reports to: Record Manager

a) Duties

i) Collecting, tabulating, analyzing and interpret disease and patient's statistics to make them available to relevant stakeholders for

planning diagnostic and decision making purposes.

ii) Registering patients, filing and retrieving patients' records.

iii) Planning and designing alternative methods for collection, storage, and reir eval of health records by using modern technology.

iv) Facilitating availability of health records and statistical data for the purposes of carrying out research.

v) Sensitizing Institute workers on suitable means for storage of health records and information.

vi) Carrying out clinical coding and classification of disease and their diagnosis.

vii) Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by his/her superior.

Health Attendant II- PMOSS 4 (1Post))

Reports to: Nursing Manager

a): Duties

i) General cleaning of the offices, kitchen, wards and other patient treatment areas.

ii) Disposal of medical and other wastes.

iii) Cleaning of equipments and accessories used in patient diagnosis and treatment.

iv) Performs duties in the kitchen.

v) Carry out movement of medical files and others.

vi) General cleanliness of environment and offices.

vii} Perform other duties as shall be assigned by Superiors

b) Qualifications

Holder of certificate in Secondary Education with at least 6 month certificate course in Hospital Cleaning/infections protection, hygiene, health safety issues and Waste Management from any recognized Institution.

Health Laboratory Scientist II PMGSS 9 (1 Post)

Reports to: Laboratory Manager

a) Duties:

i) Carrying out laboratory tests and examinations as well as laboratory research.

ii) Inspecting and storing laboratory reagents, equipment and chemicals.

iii) Keeping and maintaining laboratory records.

iv) Maintaining list of laboratory equipment in the section.

v) Examining and transferring of laboratory samples for further examinations.

vi) Perform any other duties as shall be assigned by his/her superior.

b) Qualifications

Holder of Bachelor Degree in Laboratory Technology or any related field from any recognized jnstitution. He/she must be registered with the Health Laboratory Practitioners Council.
