1.        Job Title: Secretary II (4 posts)
(a)     Qualifications and Experience:

·    Form  IV  Certificate  with  credit  passes  in  Kiswahili  and  English,  plus  a Certificate   in   Secretaria Studies Technician   Certificate   i Secretarial Studies, i.e. NTA 5 from a recognized institution.
·    Possession of a Form VI Certificate with passes in English and Kiswahili will be an added advantage.

(a)     Qualifications and Experience:

3.        Job Title: Assistant Accountant I (1 post) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:

·    Holder of B.Com / Advanced Diploma in (Accounting)
·    A minimum of five years relevant working experience.

(b)     Main Duties:
·    Performs variety of accounting tasks including receiving and paying out cash and cheques;
·    Maintains fuel and accurate accounts records;
·    Prepares trial balances;
·    Checks the correctness of claims  and retirements ensuring that they are supported by appropriate authority/evidences;
·    Custodian of accountable documents; and
·    Performs any other duties assigned from time to time by one’s reporting
officer.

4.        Job Title: Assistant Accountant II (8 posts) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:

·    Holder of B.Com (Accounting)/ADA/Professional Level II or its equivalent.
·    A minimum of three years relevant working experience.

(b)     Main Duties:
·        Receives and keeps in proper custody all incoming bills and claims;
·        Maintains primary books of accounts;
·        Prepares payment requisitions;
·        Preparing of journal voucher/batches for various activities;
·        Preparing  various  payment  reports,  schedules  and  lists  of  various expenditures;
·        Maintaining  vote  book  and  various  registers  (e.g.  debtors,  imprest creditors); and
·        Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by his/her senior.

(c)      Salary Scale: PGSS 10 - 11.

5.        Job Title: Accounts Assistant (7 posts) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:

·    Holder of Ordinary Diploma in Accounting/ATEC II/NABOCE with at least five years relevant work experience.

(b)     Main Duties:
·        Prepares journal voucher/batches for various activities;
·        Receives and keeps in proper custody all incoming bills and claims;
·        Maintains primary books of accounts;
·        Prepares payment requisitions; and
·        Performs any other duties that may be assigned to him/her from time to time.

(c)      Salary Scale: PGSS 8 - 9

6.        Job Title: Procurement and Supplies Officer (3 posts) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:
·    Holder of Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Logistics
/Materials Management plus CPSP.
·    Must be registered by PSPTB.
·    At least three years work experience.

(b)     Main Duties:
·    Coordinates procurement and materials management matters at Colleges / Schools/Institutes/Directorate level;
·    Prepares procurement plan for Colleges/ Schools/ Institutes/ Directorate level;
·    Supports the functioning of the tender board;
·    Implements the decision of the tender board;
·    Acts as secretariat of the tender board;
·    Prepares monthly reports for the tender board;
·    Maintains an archive records of the procurement and disposal process; and
·    Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by his/her senior.

7.        Job Title: Assistant Procurement and Supplies Officer II (1 post) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:
·    Holder  of  an  Ordinary  Diploma/  NTA  6  in  Procurement  and  Logistics
/Materials Management.
·    Must be registered by PSPTB.

(b)     Main Duties:
·    Assists in procurement and materials management matters at Colleges / Schools/Institutes/Directorate level;

·    Assists to prepare procurement plan for Colleges/ Schools/ Institutes/ Directorate level;
·     Assists in all procurement activities at College/School/Institute/ Directorate and liaise with PMU; and

(a)     Qualifications

ii.      Technician  II  -  Electrical  (2  post);  should  have  FTC/Diploma/NTA Level 6 in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

iii.      Technician  II  -  Masonry  (1  post);  should  have  FTC/Diploma/NTA Level 6 in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

(a)     Qualifications and Experience:

·    Holder of FTC/Diploma in Civil/Highway Engineering from a recognized institution
·    A minimum of five years relevant working experience.

(b)     Main Duties:
·    Carries out, independently, specified routine technical tasks which require a higher degree of technical knowledge and skills;
·    Implements specified maintenance plans for laboratory facilities;
·    Implements specified technical plans and designs connected with research students' practical and consultancy work; and
·    Performs any other duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.

11.      Job Title: Cartographic Technician I (1 post) (a)     Qualifications and Experience
·    Form IV with Full Technician's Certificate or Diploma in Cartography with at least four years working experience in a similar position in related or
allied institution.
·    At least five years working experience in similar position.

(b)     Main Duties:
·    Compiles,  designs,  and  produces  maps  of  all  kinds,  e.g.  topographic, thematic, etc.
·    Makes decisions on materials and instruments to be used.
·    Advises on production systems to follow.
·    Makes cost calculations for map production processes; and

·    Performs general nursing care of patients;

21.      Job Title: Nursing Assistant II (15 posts) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:
·    Holder of National Form IV Certificate who has completed a one year pre- nursing course from a recognized Nursing Training Centre with at least four years relevant working experience in a similar position.

(b)     Main Duties:

·    Maintains cleanliness of the infrastructure including floors,  walls, windows lockers, toilets bathrooms and surroundings, as well as making beds and tiding rooms and wards;
·    Ferries and distributes food to patients;
·    Assists nurses in administering drugs, dressing wounds and administration of intramuscular injections only;
·    Monitors and records temperature, blood pressure and purse;
·    Takes specimen; and
·    Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by his/her senior.

22.     Job Title: Clerical Officer I (2 posts) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:

· Form VI certificate with two principal passes in Arts subjects and must have a
credit pass in English at O” level plus a Certificate in Records Management.
· A minimum of four years relevant working experience in a similar position.

(b)     Main Duties:
·    Maintains file movement record cards;
·    Looks for files and collects them whenever required;
·    Returns files to the cabinets and arranges them in proper order;
·    Keeps ready files marked B.U. for the Supervisor;
·    Weeds out inactive files, i.e. old closed volumes, files for people who have died, resigned, retired and those who have been dismissed or terminated;
·    Checks files in the cabinets periodically and ensures order and neatness; and

23.     Job Title: Administrative Officer III (2 posts) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:
Holder   of    Universit degre i Publi Administration,   Management, Sociology, Human Resource Management and Law and any other relevant field.

Deals  with  general  office  administration  with  minimum  supervision  in  one among sections falling within manpower and administration functions.

24.     Job Title: Inspector of Works I (1 post) (a)     Qualifications and Experience:
·    Holder of a B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
·    At least four years working experience in similar position.

(b)     Main Duties:
·    Implements maintenance policies pertaining to buildings;
·    Evaluates maintenance progress reports and makes recommendations;
·    Advises on issues related to the maintenance and repair of buildings;

Applicants    should    possess    the    following    academic    and    professional qualifications:

·    Holder  of  Bachelors  Degree  in  Special  Education  for  the  Deaf  from  a recognized and reputable institution.

(c)      Main Duties:
·       Assists in facilitating communication between hearing and deaf/hard-of- hearing consumers;
·       Provides students with sign language interpreter services in educational settings,  including  classrooms,  conferences,  field  trips,  meetings  with
school staff, telephone calls, after-school and extracurricular activities, and
other school-related functions and activities for students and staff;

·       Translates   sign   language   int English   and   Swahil i Academic presentation i.e. Seminars, Workshops and Conferences;
·       Becomes aware of students’ language and skill levels, ensuring appropriate interpreting techniques;
·       Reviews students Individualized Education Plan (IEP), as appropriate;
